ABOUT LLC

The International Language, Literature and Culture (LLC) Conference is an annual academic event organized by Çankaya University in Ankara in collaboration with a different partner university each year. The conference has become an established international platform, bringing together scholars from around the world as well as from across the host country to foster interdisciplinary dialogue in the humanities and social sciences. The 12th International Language, Literature and Culture Conference, jointly organized by Çankaya University and Bournemouth University, will be hosted by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University (Isparta, Turkey) on 21–24 October 2026.

This year’s theme, “Human, Environment and Ecology,” addresses the pressing global challenges posed by the climate crisis and environmental transformations. The conference aims to explore the dynamic relationships between humans, society, and nature within a genuinely interdisciplinary framework. In this context, ecocriticism is approached not only as a literary and linguistic inquiry but also as a critical field intersecting with philosophy, history, geography, archaeology, sociology, anthropology, history of arts, psychology, philology, media studies, translation, education, and related disciplines across the humanities and social sciences. The conference invites scholars and researchers to contribute to ongoing discussions on ecological thought, cultural transformation, and the future of human–environment relations.
